Elton Brand and Wife Shahara Divorcing After 9 Years of Marriage

NBA veteran and the 1999 number one draft pick Elton Brand and his wife Shahara Simmons are divorcing.

The couple began dating when they were both students at Duke University. Shahara filed for divorce a few weeks ago per TMZSports, shortly after their ninth wedding anniversary. The couple has two children, a seven-year-old son named Elton and another child born in November 2012.
