Dwyane Wade’s 30th Birthday Blowout: Brunch, Red Carpet Party & After Party [Photos]

Dwyane Wade turns 30 on Tuesday but the party got started in Miami over the weekend. Sunday morning there was a surprise brunch at The W South Beach, Sunday evening a red carpet party in the courtyard at the Setai Hotel and the evening rapped up at Mynt Lounge which included a performance by rapper Rick Ross. Check out details and photos from all of the festivities.

To kick off the line-up of festivities taking place in Miami this weekend for Miami Heat All-Star Dwyane Wade’s 30th birthday, his mother Jolinda and sister Tragil held a surprise birthday brunch party for their beloved son and brother. The intimate affair, which was attended by a select group of Wade’s family and friends, was held at the W South Beach Hotel and Residences. The buffet-style brunch included an omelet station, pastas, pastries and a variety of fruit. And in true Roscoe’s tradition, the buffet included chicken and waffles, a dish made famous by the LA-based eatery.

But the celebration wasn’t the only surprise in store for Dwyane. At 91 years old, Dwyane’s grandmother Willie Mae Morris, who has never traveled by plane before, flew to Miami to surprise and celebrate the occasion with her grandson.

Guests enjoyed performances by Yolanda Adams and Eddy Puyol, otherwise known as RAWSRVNT, as well as a dance performance by the Young Contemporary Dance Theater.

But the fun didn’t stop there. On Sunday night, the party continued at the Setai hotel where 400 guests were treated to a performances by Common and Rick Ross. On hand for the soiree,  Heat teammates, Chris Bosh, LeBron James, Mario Chalmers and Juwan Howard, Gabrielle Union (Natch), T.I. and Tiny, Fat Joe, stylest Calyann Barnett and more partied the night away. ANNNDDDDD there was an after party at Mynt.

Gabrielle looked amazing. Love the color of her dress.

Oh, did I mention that according to Haute Living, he was given a 2012 McLaren worth $229,000 form The Collection. Other gifts from the event’s sponsors include,  a 1982 vintage champagne courtesy of Dom Perignon and Hublot Watches–who gave him a King Power Unico Gold Pave watch.

I love that he wasn’t scared to rock the pink and gray Versace look at Mynt. Must have been the color theme.
