Vogue magazine’s June 2012 issue features an Olympics and style themed issue featuring Olympians soccer star, Hope Solo, swimmer Ryan Lochte and tennis ace Serena Williams on the cover.
Another element of the the Olympic-themed issue, a piece called “Country Strong.” Shot by world renown photographer Annie Leibovitz, the article’s accompanying fashion spread features model Karlie Kloss and a variety of male Olympic athletes who have their sights set on gold in London including Miami Heat superstar, Dwyane Wade.
Wade is said to be hedging slightly about appearing in his third Olympic competition because of nagging injuries accumulated throughout the season.
“I told them, I said, listen, I’m just going to see how I feel,” Wade said. “This is about being healthy — I think, for all of us, going into the summer healthy — and taking it from there.”
The Heat are currently facing off against the Indiana Pacers in the semi-conference finals of the NBA playoffs.
