Add Dwight Howard to the list of NBA players arranging charity games during the lockout. Since it’s looking like there won’t be an NBA All-Star game in Orlando, Magic center Dwight Howard said over Twitter that he’s putting together events for Nov. 11-13. Events will include an exhibition game on Sunday the 13th at UCF. One idea of he’s considering is an “old-school vs. new-school exhibition game/weekend.
That’s a good idea. In some ways I miss when All-Star weekend had the old timers game. Even though I think Rick Barry got hurt in one. Can you imagine if he could get Magic (not Jordan, he’s an owner, no contact allowed) Shaq, Reggie Miller. Like an early 90’s team. That would be AWESOME!
