DeShawn Stevenson gets engaged [photos]

If you’ve been watching season 3 of Basketball Wives LA, you’ll recall that the first episode was drama out of the gate. Draya was confronted by new cast member Ariane regarding her previous relationship with Ariane’s ex-boyfriend/baby’s daddy, DeShawn Stevenson.

Stevenson spent time with the Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic. Apparently, Draya and Ariane’s relationships overlapped – as did his relationship with actress/singer LeToya Luckett, but that’s a story for another time – at the time, Draya pointed out that DeShawn had moved on to someone else, so she was confused as to Ariane wanting to have a conversation about DSteve.

Well, over the weekend, DeShawn popped the question to his current boo, Jessica Marie, at her 30th birthday party in Orlando. The two have been together four years. In case you were wondering, the ring was nine carats and created by Jason of Beverly Hills who also recently crafted rings for Dodgers Carl Crawford’s engagement to Evelyn Lozada and Dwyane Wade’s to Gabrielle Union.

Congrats to the happy couple. Side note, if you’re wondering what happened to Ariane on BBWLA, she was axed from the cast when she couldn’t convince DeShawn to appear on camera for a showdown with Draya…
