Deion Sanders claims Pilar Sanders and friend jumped him in front of their children

I have to be honest, as I watched this situation play out on Twitter, I struggled if I should even devote any space to it. Deion and Pilar Sanders are waging war against each other in public as they await the outcome of their divorce proceedings. Just a few short hours after photos emerged of Deion in New York over the weekend at the opening of “A Street car named desire” accompanied by TV and film exec Tracey Edmonds, Deion Tweets that he’s been jumped by Pilar and her friend and he’s pressing charges.

The issue I have is that he took to Twitter to “show” the world the truth and twitpic’d 2 of his sons filling out police paper work along with him (these are Pilar’s children.) After that, the two children from Deion’s previous relationship (Deion jr and Deiondra) also took to Twitter to let Pilar know that 1. she’s lucky they weren’t around when this happened and 2. don’t let them catch her.

The twist in all of this? Pilar was transported to a hospital via ambulance. Looks like it’s going to be a he-said-she-said type situation with the kids being the ones who will be left to provide police with a clearer picture.

Deion tells us he was in his bedroom when Pilar busted in with a friend and began “kicking, biting, and scratching” him in front of his sons. He says he merely defended himself until he was able to call police.

Listen, I get that people over-share on Twitter and it allows individuals to give you the information, straight with no chaser. But at some point we have to police ourselves and not feel the need to explain EVERYTHING as it happens. A cooling off period is vital for a reason.

This is sad. Even more so because there are young children involved that not only have to contend with what’s happening in their household but with the details being released by their own families. Le sigh. Good luck.
