Damian Lillard Tackles Social Injustice With “Bigger Than Us”

This generation of athletes are much more socially aware than previous ones. Portland Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard is using his voice to inspire others.

On Martin Luther King Day, Dame D.O.L.L.A debuted a brand new video entitled “Bigger Than Us,” to take a deeper look at race relations and social injustice.

“It touches on a lot of things that are going on around us, stuff that affects everybody,” Lillard explained. “Whether that’s positive or negative, however you want to look at it. It just kind of raises awareness, let’s us know that it’s right there in our faces happening. It’s only facts. It’s not disrespectful. It’s not overly aggressive. It’s just facts.”
