A little over a month after a drunk driving incident took the life of Dallas Cowboys’ practice team player Jerry Brown, another member of the Cowboys has been arrested for drunk driving. Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff crashed his 2011 Ford truck into an 18-wheel tractor trailer. He was charged with DWI and bonded out of a jail within a few hours after the arrest, according to Grapevine, Texas police.
Police arrived at East State Highway 114 at approximately 12:36 a.m. Tuesday morning to investigate a crash. Upon an investigation of the crash, officers arrested Ratliff on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
According to a crash report, Ratliff was traveling in the middle lane, slightly ahead of of the semi, before moving into the right lane and colliding with the 18-wheeler. Ratliff’s truck was then “turned sideways and struck a median protector … and came to a stop,” the report says.
