After a night of partying with teammates at the popular Dallas nightclub Privae, Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman, Josh Brent, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter.
Matthew Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports that according to police, Brent was heading westbound on the 1400 block of the service road of East State Highway 114 at a high rate of speed. His car “hit the outside curb,” flipped over and came to rest in the middle of the road. Jerry Brown, a Cowboys’ practice squad player, was the passenger in the vehicle. Brown was unresponsive at the scene and rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The team was reportedly told of the incident on the plane to Cincinnati, where they will play the Bengals on Sunday.
