In releasing Chad Johnson, Judge McHugh listed two prior incidents where she felt Chad wasn’t showing enough respect for the court. Included in her example are the original charges which led to him being in court to begin with. The domestic assault to ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.
I don’t know why Chad didn’t just invite his probation officer to meet him at David’s Cafe like he does with his Twitter followers. Chad apologized for his actions in court last week.
I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time,” said Johnson, wearing a tan jail jumpsuit with his hands shackled at the waist. “I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom.”
Jude McHugh ordered Johnson to perform 25 hours of community service and attend domestic violence counseling sessions twice a week during probation. She also extended his probation until October.
I hope the next few months work out for Chad and he can put all this behind him.
