Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard & Scottie Pippen star in Chinese futuristic action film

China is one of the biggest consumers of American basketball and it’s NBA stars. So it makes sense that the NBA would partner with a Chinese film company, the Shanghai Film group, to create a basketball-themed movie that stars current and former NBA stars.

Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard and Yi Jianlian, as well as former great Scottie Pippen will appear in “Amazing.” It’s the story of a fictional world known as ‘The Sixth Sense,’ which uses basketball imagery to combine the visual elements of a video game with a movie, akin to the 2010 American science fiction film ‘Tron: Legacy.'”

OH. You can check out a clip below to see if this is something you’ll be adding to your summer viewing list.

The president of Shanghai Film Group, Ren Zhonglun; the CEO of NBA China, David Shoemaker; director Sherwood Hu and the cast were present at last night’s publicity news conference.

“For the NBA, this partnership with industry leader Shanghai Film Group represents an important first step to engage our fans in entertainment all across China,” said Shoemaker.
