Cam Newton Confirms Birth Of Son On Twitter

Wednesday night on Twitter, Carolina Panthers superstar quarterback Cam Newton confirmed the birth of his son.

Last week it was reported Cam left practice early on Christmas Eve. Many speculated it was because his girlfriend Shakia Procter had gone into labor. During Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Cam celebrated one of his touchdowns by holding the football like a baby being rocked to sleep.

In his postgame interview, Cam initially said it didn’t mean anything. Cam said the reason for keeping the pregnancy and birth underwraps was to keep it from becoming a distraction to the team.

This is Cam’s first child. Kia has a daughter from a previous relationship. Congratulations to Cam and Kia!
