It seems that on every season of Basketball Wives someone opts to bring in legal eagles for a lawsuit. As we work our way towards the finale in season 3, looks like Meeka Claxton is the one filing suit this time around.
The ladies took a trip to Italy in May and if you recall, Tami Roman and Meeka Claxton had some sort of physical altercation in a club there. Meeka took to Twitter shortly after to deny claims that Tami punched her in the face. Apparently Meeka is now back peddling (shocker, Meeka backtracking on a statement) and has filed suit against Tami in New York. Who else but TMZ would have the details:
According to the lawsuit, filed yesterday in New York, Tami “assaulted, battered, beat, threatened, menaced, attacked, jumped on, pushed to the ground, thrashed, punched, and shoved” Meeka … causing serious injury.
Meeka wants Tami to cough up unspecified damages, claiming the incident cost her a day of filming — and put her through an emotional and physical hell.
Tami recently mentioned in a radio interview that if Meeka wanted to bring suit against her, she could try but that she didn’t own much. The reunion show shoots on Monday, July 25th in Hollywood, of course this topic HAS to be addressed there. You think Meeka will be back for season 4? Whatever goal she was hoping to accomplish by joining the cast, I seriously doubt she’s reached it. Maybe the suit will make up for it…
