Are Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union legally married?

Looks like someone may have slipped up. Gossip Extra is reporting that even though we all saw photos of their elaborate wedding last summer, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union may not actually be legally married.

Wade’s state license to marry actress Gabrielle Union has yet to find its way into state records nearly six months after their Cinderella wedding.

And that, says Miami-Dade County marriage license manager Roberto Reboso, could be a problem for the lovebirds if they ever want to prove they’re indeed hitched.

“We know they’re married from what they said on TV,” Reboso said. “And they obtained a marriage license before the ceremony.

“But they still haven’t returned the licensed signed by the person who officiated the ceremony,” Reboso said. “So their marriage has not been recorded by the state.”

No one in the Wade-Union camp has responded to these allegations, but if this is in fact true, I have two theories as to what might have happened.

1. They got married in California -specifically LA. This would allow for the option of a confidential marriage license. That would come in handy if the ceremony was just a formality.

2. Someone forgot to mail the license off. It happens, people get distracted. But now that its almost six months later the license may have expired.
