Anthony Mason used to act as muscle for LL Cool J

Back in the day, if you were to attend a barbecue thrown by rapper LL Cool J, you might run into New York Knick Anthony Mason in attendance. That’s usual, ballers and rappers always link up, right? But the difference was, if you stepped out of line, Mase became the muscle and would throw out rowdy party goers.

 

Anthony Mason was my man—he used to be in Queens all the time in my neighborhood. He used to throw guys out of barbecues for me. They were talking trash to me and Anthony Mason used to come in and grab them and be like, “Y’all gotta go! Y’all gotta go!” He was my man.

Sounds like enforcer was always a natural role for him. 80’s-90’s New York Knicks probably have some legendary off court tales.
