Actress Angela Robinson Talks Season 5 Of “The Haves and the Have Nots”

Season five of OWN TV’s hit “The Haves and the Have Nots” kicked off this month. Created and executive produced by Tyler Perry, the show highlights the ongoing Savannah, Ga. drama between the wealthy Cryer and Harrington families (the “haves”) and the poor Young family (the have nots.)

The series boasts the impressive distinction of being the number one original series on all of cable for African-American women and in 2017, was the number one scripted cable series for African-American total viewers.

Season five promises to be the most explosive one yet, Jill Munroe of EURWeb sat down with actress Angela Robinson who portrays villainess ice queen Veronica Harrington, to discuss the soap opera twists and turns, working on Broadway and advice for young actresses coming up in today’s “Hollywood.”

Robinson is an award-winning actress with numerous TV and film credits. She got her start on Broadway, including a stint as Shug Avery in the original Broadway production of Oprah Winfrey Presents: The Color Purple.

In 2015 Robinson received the Gracie Award for Best Female Actress — One to Watch, and is also a member of the Grammy-Nominated Broadway Inspirational Voices. She spent time early in her career traveling the world with the USO/DOD entertaining our military troops. She is a graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and The William Esper Acting Studio.
