Last week I shared the story of Mo’Ne Davis, the 13-year-old female pitcher from Philly who threw a shut out to advance her team to the Little League World Series. On Friday, Mo’Ne was once again in the headlines as she became the first girl to throw a shut out in LLWS history. Davis’ Taney Dragons beat a Tennessee team 4-0, showed off her 70-mile-per-hour fastball and struck out eight batters.
