Vikings WR Percy Harvins seeking a trade

Football season hasn’t even started yet and players are already voicing concerns about the make up of their team and looking for a trade. Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin had a lot to say during mini camp.

“I’ll just put it this way,” he told reporters, “it’s a lot of different things that have to be sorted out. Just haven’t been real happy lately. So, we’ve got a couple things to work on. I’m here in the classroom so we’ll go from there…I’m just not happy. I won’t go into how unhappy. I’m just overall not happy with a couple situations.”

Knowing you’re heading into a losing season has got to be a mind trip. Harvin has made it clear this isn’t about money at all. He has two years left on his contract. As the 22nd overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, Harvin signed a five-year contract that had a core value of $11.05 million, with performance and playing-time incentives increasing the maximum value of the contract to $14.25 million.
