Steelers’ coach Mike Tomlin Said Antonio Brown Will Be Punished For FaceBook Live Video

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has amassed a huge following on social media. Brown makes a habit of sharing varied moments of how his life and business is “booming” with his 763,000 followers on Twitter, 1.5 million on Instagram and 654,000 on Facebook.

On Sunday, AB posted his coach Mike Tomlin‘s post-game locker room speech to Facebook Live. The broadcasted included a bit of profanity and he also referred to the Patriots – their next round match –  as a$$holes in the 17 minute video. In a bit of irony, he warned players not to “stir the pot” ahead of the AFC championship game.

“When you get to this point in the journey, man, not a lot needs to be said. Let’s say very little moving forward,” Tomlin said. “We spotted those a—holes a day and a half. They played [Saturday], our game got moved to tonight. We’re going to touch down (at the Pittsburgh airport) at 4 o’clock in the f—ing morning. So be it. We’ll be ready for their ass.”

The post has since been deleted but nothing is ever truly scrubbed from internet.

Tomlin spoke out on Tuesday, stating that Brown went against the Steelers and NFL’s policy by going live on FaceBook. He said their will be consequences and he expects the NFL to punish him too.

“I’ll be bluntly honest here: It was foolish of him to do that, it was selfish of him to do that, and inconsiderate for him to do that,” Tomlin said of Brown. “Not only is it a violation of our policy but a violation of league policy. Both of which he knows.

“We’ll punish him, and do so swiftly and do so internally,” he said. “I’m sure he’ll appropriately absorb all of those things as he moves forward. But larger than that, he has to grow from this. He has to. He works extremely hard and is extremely talented, and those things get minimized with incidents such as this. It wears on teammates when they have to answer questions about things other than our preparation or football-related.”

Antonio’s teammate Big Ben had this response.
