Social Media MVP’s: NFL Edition

The NFL is an exciting league full of exciting players. Social media gives us a chance to connect with our favorite players and gives us an inside look at the lives. This is a list of the top 5 NFL players to follow on Social Media

1. Johnny Manziel
Money Manziel has been the center of attention since stunning Alabama his freshman year of college. After a rocky start to his NFL career, Johnny Football is finally coming into his own. Manziel may not be as funny or fan friendly as the other guys on this list, but he lives the life that every high school and college athlete dream of. If you’re looking to see what it’s like to be one of the biggest partiers in the league, Manziel is your guy. It remains to be seen if “Billy” in Vegas can be topped, but if Money lands in Dallas to takeover Jerry’s world, nonstop hijinks are expected.

2. Chad Johnson
Ochocinco may be retired, but he is also one of the most entertaining NFL players in history. From tweeting about his ex’s to his love for Rhianna, with Chad there is never a dull moment. Johnson is also very fan friendly and frequently retweets and tweets to fans. Another upside to following Johnson is his tips on how to look good on a budget. He recently started a podcast so expect more attention grabbing tweets and Instagram posts to follow.

3. Darnell Dockett
Unpredictable, unfiltered and hysterical. Darnell Dockett will say anything that comes to his mind on social media. If you’re looking for a laugh then look no further because Dockett is the person to follow.

4. Drew Brees
Brees is a consummate professional and one of the most genuine people on twitter. With tweets about his family and personal life, Brees shows what life is like as a professional football player.

5. Nick Mangold
Mangold is a gentle giant, and although he’s big enough to eat you and still be hungry, he’s a friendly funny guy, who’s deserving of a follow on social media. What makes Mangold so great is his embracing of the public. Constantly retweeting and answering fans, Mangold makes you feel like you’re one of the guys. Plus, when you follow Mangold you’ll get to see a ton of photobombs which are always fun.
