Seattle Seahawks corner Richard Sherman isn’t shy about voicing his opinion. Recently at an event for the NFL’s Play 60 program, Sherman made the case for the the drug Adderall to be removed from the NFL’s banned substance list.
Adderall is prescribed for ADD or ADHD. I can see several athletes, not just NFL players, needing that medication. the NBA’s JaVale McGee recently announced that he suffered from the disorder but didn’t like to take his medicine. If the number is as high as Sherman maintains, it would seem some sort of study would be initiated on the competitive advantage of Adderall or viable options from the players who use it.
Sherman mentions that his plan “at some point” is to get into “marketing and broadcasting,” I think he’s already demonstrated that he absolutely has a flare for those areas.
