Looks as if estranged Miami Dolphin OT Jonathan Martin will get the chance to prove he belongs in the NFL. Following the locker room bullying scandal that rocked the NFL and Dolphins last season, the San Francisco 49’ers have traded for Martin.
The Niners gave up a conditional 2015 7th round pick for Martin, conditional on him making the 2014 opening week roster. That basically means it’s a free tryout for the 49ers.
Martin played his college ball at Stanford which isn’t too far from the Niners facility in Santa Clara, Ca. Jim Harbaugh is his old coach. Certainly a more tolerant environment. Now Martin has to prove it on the field.
