Rihanna is clapping at the NFL. Last Thursday night, an NFL opening featuring Rihanna, Jay Z and actor Don Cheadle was pulled from the CBS/NFL network broadcast following the release of video showing ex-Ravens running back Ray Rice punch his then fiancée Janay Palmer-Rice.
No real explanation was provided but the assumption was concern over negative backlash because Rihanna was in a high-profile domestic violence situation in 2009.
The NFL network and CBS have plans to use the intro this week however, and that apparently doesn’t sit well with Bad Gal Riri who took to Twitter early Tuesday morning to share her thoughts.
Rihanna didn’t do anything, why victimize her again? Guess that means no halftime performance from Ri at next year’s Super Bowl.
Complicated issue.
