This story is weird to me. Wednesday, Dolphins RB Reggie Bush was a guest on The Dan Patrick Radio Show. Bush informed him that he’s returned his 2005 Heisman Trophy to the Heisman Trust. Bush was officially removed as the winner in 2010 due to his involvement in an NCAA scandal.
Why is it weird to me? Because nothing required him to physically return the trophy. And while everyone expects us to enter the “hot tub time machine” and forget that Reggie earned the trophy, we won’t and why not keep it as a keepsake.
Seriously, I don’t understand the concern as to the whereabouts of the trophy. It’s seven years later, who cares? What’s done is done.
