Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid’s son Garett found dead

Prayers up for Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid and his family. Reid’s son Garrett (29) was found dead this morning at the Eagles training camp around 7:15.

Campus police made the discovery in Garrett’s Lehigh University dormitory room.

Reid was found “unresponsive” by officers after a 911 call was placed to campus police.”Upon arrival, it was observed that attempts were made to revive the individual and they were unsuccessful,” Shupp said. “The individual, Garrett Reid was deceased upon the officers’ arrival. There were no suspicious activities.

No additional details have been released. Andy requested that the Eagles continue with practice today in light of the tragedy. Assistant coaches Marty Mornhinweg and Juan Castillo will oversee team in Reid’s absence.
