Peyton Manning makes history on Sunday Night Football [video]

Denver Broncos quarterback, Peyton Manning passed Brett Favre for the NFL record for career touchdown passes with his 509th career scoring pass on Sunday Night Football. At 38 years old, and just three years removed from neck surgery, Manning stands alone as the touchdown king.

Manning threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas with 3:09 remaining in the first half, giving the Broncos a 21-3 over the 49’ers.

“I’ve discussed with some family and friends recently that [I] certainly didn’t think this would even be a possibility a couple of years ago,” Manning said after the game. ” … I’m really enjoying playing here, playing for this organization.”

Manning’s resurgence after leaving the Indianapolis Colts has been nothing short of amazing. He broke the record in 56 fewer games than Brett Favre.
