Panthers Greg Hardy Allegedly Attacked Girlfriend Over Rapper Nelly

At some point, you will understand and embrace the concept I previously taught you,”they love a referral.” Rapper Nelly seems to have been busy as of late making athletes mad by scooping up their exes – in some cases current – boos.

Carolina Panthers DE Greg Hardy was arrested on assault charges earlier this week following an argument with his girlfriend, Nicole Holder. The beef was reportedly over Holder dating Nelly while she and Hardy were on a “break”

Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of assault on a female and communicating threats after an incident with his girlfriend, identified as 24-year-old Nicole Holder, who alleges that Hardy threw her on a couch covered with firearms.

According to the Observer, Holder’s protective-order complaint states “that Hardy was angry with her because of a short-lived relationship with the rapper Nelly, who is a part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. She stated in the court documents that she and Hardy had been trying to work things out and that she and Hardy were in bed together early Tuesday morning when Hardy ‘just snapped.’”

“Hardy picked me up and threw me into the tile tub area in his bathroom,” the complaint read. “I have bruises from head to toe, including my head, neck, back, shoulders, arms, legs, elbow and feet. Hardy pulled me from the tub by my hair, screaming at me that he was going to kill me, break my arms and other threats that I completely believe.

“He drug me across the bathroom and out into the bedroom. Hardy choked me with both hands around my throat while I was lying on the floor. Hardy picked me up over his head and threw me onto a couch covered in assault rifles and/or shotguns. I landed on those weapons.”

According to the judge, both Hardy and Holder were intoxicated at the time of the incident. Hardy’s attorney, Chris Fialko, maintains that his client is innocent and that Holder is responsible for the disturbance after she attacked Hardy and his friend, Sammy Curtis.
A 911 called obtained Wednesday by CBSSports.com has Hardy telling the operator that Holder was trying to hit him with her shoe and that she hit him in the face twice. But a second 911 call made from Hardy’s downstairs neighbor claimed that the Panthers’ defensive end was “beating (Holder’s) a**.”

The Panthers, who are set to pay Hardy $13.1 million next season, met with the defensive end and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Wednesday to discuss his arrest, the Observer reports.
