NFL Week 4 is almost in the history books with one more game tonight for Monday Night Football between the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints. I’m back this season with my week by week recap so, let’s get into Sunday’s action.
Dallas Cowboys vs. San Diego Chargers
Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears
The Lions continue to show that they are the real deal. Reggie Bush his the Bears with a 37-yard touchdown that reminded you why Bush was a Heisman trophy winner while at USC. They can never take that from you Reggie.
Oakland Raiders vs. Washington Redskins
It takes a special dedication to be an Oakland Raiders fan right now. The highlight of the game for Raiders fans? Glee’s Naya Rivera turning up for her brother, Mycal’s first NFL touchdown.
Redskins win 24-14
Houston Texans vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Texans blew this game, losing to the Seahawks in overtime. Marshawn Lynch went into video game mode with this run in the first quarter. Texans took over then fell flat. It might be time for the Texans to switch up at the QB position.
Seahawks win 23-20
New England Patriots vs. Atlanta Falcons
The Patriots ended the night 4-0 but lost DT Vince Wilfork for the season to an Achilles injury. The Falcons are dealing with their own injury issues with Roddy White and Steven Jackson out. Pats win 30-23.
New York Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The downward spiral continues for the New York Giants who are now 4-0 on the season. Even the one bright spot on the Giants, Victor Cruz can’t escape the heat. Cruz’s salsa endzone dance was mocked in Sunday’s match up by Chiefs Dexter McCluster.
Chiefs win 31-7
New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans
Who would’ve thought that the Jets would be New York’s top team… Not this week though. Geno Smith carried on the tradition of Jets QB’s and butt fumbles – kind of, work with me here. I’m taking a bit of creative license but, it resulted in a Titans touchdown so….
Titans win 38-13.
As we dart across the pond to merry old England, one has to wonder if a london showcase of the NFL featuring two-0-3 teams was putting your best foot forward? Vikings get their first win of the season 34-27
Denver Broncos vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Broncos continue to steam roll over teams while the Eagles, who came out of the gate hot in week 1 against the Redskins, are looking as if head coach, Chip Kelly is having a hard time making the adjustment to the pros.
Broncos win 52-20.
Shout out to the Niners for holding it down last week in Thursday night football. Looks like QB Colin Kaepernick has some extra motivation besides favoriting his hater on Twitter.
