NFL Week 4: The NFL Returns to London and a Mystery QB in New England

Around the League

Let’s get you ready for Week 4! The NFL season hits the quarter mark with a full slate of games this week. The action kicks off at Wembley Stadium Sunday morning, with The Colts and Jaguars squaring off in London. Commissioner Roger Goodell will be watching the action closely, as he and the rest of the league consider overseas expansion.

Reigning NFC champions, the Carolina Panthers looks to get back on track against The Falcons after last week’s loss was overshadowed by protesters outside the stadium. Fellow playoff hopefuls The Arizona Cardinals host the repatriated Los Angeles Rams and struggling Tampa Bay hopes to withstand Denver’s brutal pass rush.

The Steelers are counting on the return of injured running back Leveon Bell to be the difference against the Chiefs. The Jets are 1-2 and might be playing to salvage their season when they take on a Seattle defense that’s only two years removed from a Super Bowl appearance.

Games of the Week and Who’s Under Center in New England

The Bills travel to Foxborough to play the New England Patriots in one the weekend’s key matchups. With Tom Brady serving the final game of his Deflate Gate suspension and backups Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brisset both listed as questionable, just who will be running the Patriot offense is anyone’s guess. Bills’ coach Rex Ryan said this week that he wouldn’t be surprised if Bill Belichick himself lined up under center.

Despite Brady’s absence, The Patriots have started the season with a shocking 3-0 record, including last week’s dismantling of a sturdy Texans defense. Fans in Buffalo and New England both are holding their breath as they await whatever genius scheme Belichick cooks up to win without an NFL ready quarterback. It’ll be must see TV in any case.

The actions concludes in a Monday night matchup between the Vikings and Giants. New York’s star studded wide receiver corps should be a litmus test for Minnesota and their surprisingly strong start this season.
