The NFL has handed down its decision on Adrian Peterson. The Minnesota Vikings running back will be suspended for the remainder of the season without pay for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
Peterson has been out since September following child abuse charges in Houston. He plead no contest to misdemeanor reckless assault and was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine plus 80 hours of community service. He was placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt list initially, which paid him his salary, but didn’t allow him to play.
Do you feel it’s fair that after missing nine games – with pay – that he’s now suspended without pay until April 15th? Peterson’s attorney will appeal the decision.
I feel that the NFL needs to clear on the process, and let it be transparent. It feels as if they’ve been winging things since the Ray Rice video leaked.
