New Orleans Saints & Miami Dolphins Agree To Terms On RB Reggie Bush Trade

It’s been a foregone conclusion since the NFL draft that Saints RB Reggie Bush wouldn’t return to New Orleans for the 2011 season. Now Bush is headed to the Land of LeBron (that’s Miami although Wade county is actually much more appropriate for a few reasons but I digress)

The Saints and the Miami Dolphins have agreed to trade. The deal hinges on the Dolphins working out an acceptable contract with Bush.  Due to earn a base salary of $11.8 million in 2011, Bush will have to take a pay cut.  (Of course, if he agrees to a long-term deal with the Dolphins, he could actually pocket $11.8 million in salary and bonuses in 2011, or more.)

Reggie in Miami?? I’m sure he’ll enjoy the scenery. He’s had extra time to rehab his knee, does he boost the Dolphins offense or just get rid of a potential headache in New Orleans?

**Update**

Reggie Bush will sign a 2 year deal worth $9.75 million with $5 million guaranteed
