Are you tired of hearing about Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch vs. the media? No, good because of course there’s more from Super Bowl week. The highlight for me was Marshawn going head-to-head against New England Patriots safety, Rob Gronkowski in Mortal Kombat X.
But before that, Marshawn faced the media again, this time he decided to share a few words with reporters – but not take any questions. he set his iPhone timer for five minutes and went.
“All week I done told y’all what’s up,” he said. “And for some reason, y’all continue to come back and do the same thing that y’all did. I don’t know what story y’all trying to get out of me, I don’t know what image y’all trying to portray of me. But it don’t matter what y’all think, what y’all say about me, cause when I go home
at night, the same people that I look in the face..my family that i love..that’s all that really matters to me.”
The thing is, there ARE some people Marshawn will talk to, like women:
And he and Gronk were hilarious on Conan. Like you have to watch THE ENTIRE THING!
This season, Marshawn has 280 rushing yards, 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns – plus at least 3 or 4 hold my balls celebrations.
I love the work he does for his community. Initially, I believe he was a little intimidated by the press, but I think he’s moved beyond that, and its now about principal. Do I wish he’d give a little more at times, YES. He’s a great running back, with a great story. But I also think you have to know when to stop beating a dead horse.
Somebody has to step off the merry go round.
