The Dallas Cowboys made it out of wild card weekend, but not without some controversy. During the 4th quarter, a pass interference call was changed by the refs, and many feel this ultimately led to the Lions losing the game.
Detroit was up, 20-17 and had the ball for a 3rd-and-1 on the Cowboys 46 with 8:25 left. Lions QB Matt Stafford threw a pass to tight end Brandon Pettigrew, but Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens ran into Pettigrew.
The referees called pass interference. But then reversed the decision and picked up the flag. It should be noted that this crew hadn’t previously worked together.
