The Super Bowl could be headed to LA in 2020. The only problem, a stadium, and a team have to be in place by 2018.
On Wednesday during NFL meetings, the league announced that if a stadium is built in LA by 2018, the city would become a candidate to host the 2020 Super Bowl.
Currently both Inglewood and Carson have plans to build a stadium. The Carson site is the potential home for the Raiders and Chargers, though nothing is official.
New Orleans, Atlanta, South Florida and Tampa are all expected to be bidding for both the 2019 and 2020 Super Bowls. The owners won’t decide on which city will be awarded the honor of hosting Super Bowls 53 and 54 until next year.
