One thing you can always say about the New York Jets, they know how to stay in the headlines with controversy. Minutes after announcing that they had cut QB Mark Sanchez, the Jets announced the signing of former Philadelphia Eagle, Michael Vick.
Vick has signed a one-year deal and is expected to compete against second-year QB, Geno Smith. Smith also happens to wear #7, which is the number Vick rocked from his start in the NFL. It will be interesting to see who takes a new number.
Also be on the look out for a possible reunion with Vick’s Philly teammate, DeSean Jackson. The Eagles are anxious to get rid of the Wide receiver even though he’s currently at the top of his game.
