Is it Official? Osi No Longer a Giant

Osi Umenyiora the British-born American football defensive end is currently a free agent. After his 10 year career with the New York Giants, where he holds the record for most sacks in one game coming against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007. And was  selected twice for the Pro Bowl in the 2005 and 2007 seasons, is now said to be taking his talents to Atlanta to join the Falcons.

As reported Umenyiora would love to be a Falcon and would love to win a Super Bowl in Atlanta. Reports state he will be signing in the next day or so.

“New York fans definitely expect a lot out of you because of their history,” Umenyiora said. “There was nothing better than to be able to win there. The only thing I can think of that would be better than being able to win in New York would be to be able to win here in Atlanta. We’ll see how that plays out. Hopefully, it works out in a positive direction.”

What is your take on Osi becoming a Falcon? Do you think he can help take Atlanta to the 2014 Superbowl?
