Greg Hardy is making headlines again after a sideline explosion. Hardy got into the special teams huddle on Sunday during Cowboys vs. Giants, following Dwyane Harris’s 100-yard kickoff return that gave New York the lead.
Hardy was so fired up, he slapped the clipboard out of one of the coach’s hand. Injured wideout Dez Bryant stepped in to calm Hardy down.
The Cowboys organization says that Hardy’s actions are that of a passionate team leader. Dez Bryant said “people want to make something of nothing.” Players asked after the game said Hardy was just trying to get his teammates fired up.
In postgame, Hardy made himself available for the media, but answered every question with “no comment, next question.”
Hardy is known more for his off-field domestic violence case – the case was dismissed after his ex-girlfriend Nicole didn’t show up for the trial. The report for the case accused him of throwing her on a futon full of guns.
This is his first season and Dallas, and second game with the team following his four-game suspension. He recently made headlines from the Dallas locker room for saying he was ready to hit the field, “guns blazing.”
