Things can get heated between teammates during a typical NFL practice. But when Eagles cornerback Cary Williams and receiver Riley Cooper got into at practice on Thursday, it took two unlikely figures, receiver DeSean Jackson and QB Mike Vick to step in and get Williams back in line.
Williams was covering the receiver during one-on-one drills. After the play, they stood toe-to-toe jawing at one another. It turned physical and some slaps were thrown at each others’ helmets. Brandon Boykin jumped in to help separate the two.
But the real question, who selected that cheesy music? Of course some will be wondering if Williams reaction was a result to unresolved feelings from Riley being caught on camera earlier this summer using the “N-word.”
Welcome back NFL.
