Dolphins Brent Grimes’ wife Miko blasts NFL on Twitter

I believe in the old adage, choose your battles wisely. In my eyes, strategic attacks usually work out better than social media blitzes. The wife of Miami Dolphins CB Brent Grimes took a different approach on Twitter Monday.

Miko Grimes is her husband’s number one fan, and she’s not shy about backing up that status on Twitter and Instagram.

Brent made his second consecutive pro bowl appearance on Sunday – third overall in his career. Miko felt Grimes was robbed of the Defensive MVP award which went to Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.

Miko felt the snub was personal because Grimes missed practice to be with her during emergency oral surgery. Although Brent received permission from his Pro Bowl coach and the NFL to miss practice she claims, the NFL stripped Brent of his paid appearances for skipping the practice. Snatching those checks must’ve been Miko’s last straw.

Miko hopped on Twitter and called the NFL the “SH*TTIEST, SHADIEST DISRESPECTFUL professional sport in the WORLD!!!” Pulling no punches, Miko accused the NFL of still not caring about victims of domestic violence, player safety or violating concussion rules.

Miko has an interest in broadcasting. Hosting a show is one of her future goals. I featured her during the season for the JSJ Fan Spotlight.
