NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell isn’t making the same mistake twice. Wednesday it was announced that newly minted Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2015 regular season.
Hardy was accused of violently attacking his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Holder last year. Hardy was convicted but won his appeal because Holder didn’t show up in court. Hardy reportedly reached some sort of financial settlement with her, which is why she couldn’t be located.
Should Hardy somehow find himself in a similar situation in the future, a second violation of the personal conduct policy could result in banishment from the league.
Hardy, who just signed a year contract with the Cowboys, is expected to appeal the suspension.
