The critiques of the Lakers signing Steve Nash are interesting. Obviously we know that Nash is advanced in age for an NBA player. The west is home to Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Tony Parker at the point. But let’s keep a few things in mind.
Lakers were desperate for a player that can distribute the ball. Nash’s defense might be a little shaky, but, last season was Nash’s 6th averaging at least 10 assists, shooting 50% from field. That’s on a Sun’s team with no scoring threat.
The Lakers still have Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol. Two big seven-footers and of course Kobe Bryant. Nash absolutely can find ways to get the ball to those three.
