UConn Women’s Basketball Team Streak Ends At 90

Of course this would be a bigger deal if this feat had been achieved by the UConn MEN’s team (not to me, I mean in general). Much respect to the Huskies winning 90 games in a row. What’s even more incredible, the last team that beat Connecticut prior to the streak is also the one to end it.

The UConn women’s basketball team lost their first game since 2008 last night to the Stanford Cardinals. Kudos to both teams and can I just add I’m extremely happy neither of these teams refer to themselves as “Lady” Mascot-name. I always thought that was a little lame.

Can’t wait to watch Maya Moore go to work in the WNBA!
