Tracy McGrady says he never played Kobe Bryant 1-on-1 in Germany

Kobe Bryant said that back when he and Tracy McGrady were both signed to Adidas, meaning pre 03, that while in Germany on business for the company, he played TMac one-one-one and beat him several times before TMac claimed back spasms and play had to be stopped. Kobe even said you could ask TMac about the incident. Well, someone did just that on Twitter and TMac denies it took place.

I remember when TMac was one of the guys Kobe used to claim he was good friends with. Ironically, in TMac’s retirement announcement letter he mentioned Kobe claiming he made him a better player

Kobe, you made me work harder and it was an honor to play against you.

So who do you believe?
