Royce White won’t be playing in the NBA this season. At least not with the Philadelphia 76’ers, who traded for White over the summer. White suffers from an anxiety disorder that makes flying difficult. As a result, White’s rookie season with the Houston Rockets was spent battling with the franchise over the proper course of treatment. White was looking to make a fresh start with the Sixers. While he didn’t accompany the team overseas during preseason, he was able to fly to a game.
Source says Khalif Wyatt, Mac Koshwal, Vander Blue and Royce White all released.

Ultimately, a year without basketball coupled with his disorder probably left him off the roster. Perhaps another stint in the D league will help get him back on the NBA track.
