It’s about that time for members of the 2010 NBA draft class to get that dough! Sacramento Kings will begin negotiations on a contract extension for DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins. Cousins is eligible for a five-year, $80 million extension that would kick in for the 2014-15 season.
The Kings will be meeting with Cousins’ agent, Dan Fegan, soon to discuss salary and contract length. Cousins is coming off of a successful USA basketball camp in Las Vegas that also included players like Kyrie Irving, Cousins former UK teammate, John Wall, Kenneth Faried and Anthony Davis. Boogie received a bad rap the last couple of seasons with maturity questions peppering some great on-court performances. But all of that seems to be issues of the past. Cousins has also been working with Legendary Georgetown coach John Thompson.
