Royce White is with a new team this season. Considering he never touched the hardwood in Houston last year because his anxiety disorder wouldn’t allow team travel, some might consider this his rookie season. With a clean slate in Philly with the 76’ers, the question that was on everyone’s mind at media day, is White planning on traveling with the team this season.
White made it clear that he does plan on traveling with the team – driving to games that are close and flying to others. Including a trip to Spain next week for preseason action.
“For Sam to take a chance on me again- and not to say that I don’t deserve the chance, but we know how it goes,” White said. “There are other people out there that can play and want to play. So I am just happy to be here and hopefully we can find an arraignment that works for Philly.”
Sounds as if White has an attitude adjustment for the new season. That’s going to come in handy considering it’s the last year of his rookie contract. Philly could pick up the rights to his third season but I’m sure that would depend on his output this year.
