Royce White back with the D League Rio Grande Valley Vipers after leaving without permission

Guess what? Royce White is back in the D League. What happened this time? Apparently the Rio Grande Valley Vipers knew nothing of White’s “Dr. orders” to leave the team and return to Houston. Oh Royce…

At the risk of earning his second suspension without pay this season, White planned to be in uniform for the Vipers game Tuesday night against Tulsa.

If you missed my “Twitter-view” with White from Saturday night, it became apparent that the problem this time had more to do with the fact he had been in the D League for 5 weeks. Plus his accommodations weren’t up to par.

Really curious to see what happens in the off season with White and the Rockets. Especially considering the Rockets picked up forward Thomas Robinson from the Kings at the trade deadline. White played just 12 games with the Vipers and averaged 9.6 points and 5.6 rebounds. White allegedly didn’t bond with his teammates and was a distraction to the team’s goals. That’s surprising…
