Rockets Stun Clippers With Game 7 Victory

The Los Angeles Clippers never recovered from the stunning Game 6 loss. For the second year in a row, the Clippers have been bounced out of the playoffs in the second round. The Houston Rockets will move on to face the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday in the Western Conference finals.

LA started out flat from the tipoff. Late in the game, they started to get a run going, but could never sustain enough momentum to pull ahead. The nail in the coffin was a corner three from Trevor Ariza.

Rockets win 113-100.

During the postgame press conference, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers – who is also the President of Basketball Operations for the team- said he didn’t envision any major roster moves this summer. That the first priority would be resigning DeAndre Jordon. After that, he said the team would only have money left for a few minimum deals. He also said that’s he’s already thinking and planning for next season.

CP3 said he’s tired of losing. He even used a Will Ferrell quote to sum up the loss.

“Ricky Bobby, like I said, if you’re not first you’re last,” Paul told reporters after the game. “Being close ain’t good enough.”

One reporter asked if the struggle has brought the Clippers closer as a team. Chris said no, and that the losing had gotten old. He was tired of going on vacation early. He places blame with himself, and is starting there. He wants all the guys back, but obviously they need some help off the bench.
