Phoenix Suns Michael Beasley arrested for weed possession

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Phoenix Suns forward, Michael Beasley has been arrested for marijuana possession in Scottsdale, Az… AGAIN.

The 24-year-old was arrested by Scottsdale PD early Tuesday morning for marijuana possession near Scottsdale and McCormick roads.

According to police, Beasley was stopped for a traffic violation and as the officer approached the vehicle he smelled marijuana emanating from within the car. A search of the driver’s area recovered marijuana.

Beasley was booked pending chargers for possession of marijuana and released.

Beasley and weed have a long history that seems to end in arrest. There was another traffic violation in Arizona last February, there were cases in Minnesota when he spent time with the Timberwolves and of course his first violation came during his rookie symposium back in 2008. You would think he’d recognize that if he must smoke, staying at his house and letting someone else take the wheel if he just has to leave is the best course of action.
