Nuggets waive DeMarre Carroll to make room for Wilson Chandler?

The Denver Nuggets had no plans on resigning former Nuggets Jr Smith and Kenyon Martin who fled the U.S. for China during the NBA lockout, they absolutely want to resign Wilson Chandler, another former Nugget playing in China.

Nuggets GM Masai Ujiri is traveling to China to have a face to face with Chandler about the possibility of signing Chandler to a multi-year contract. The Nuggets waived forward DeMarre Carroll, presumably to make room for Wilson when he returns. The downside, his team is ballin and will probably be in the playoffs which pushes his NBA return to mid-March. The Nuggets have been quite impressive since the departure of their franchise star, Carmelo Anthony. The team is currently holding the 2nd spot in the west and has a deep bench.
